تأتي هذه المحاضرة في إطار الجهود الأكاديمية التي يبذلها المعهد لفتح النقاش حول قضايا المناصرة الدولية ودورها المحوري في تعزيز التضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني، وذلك في ظل العدوان الإسرائيلي المستمر على شعبنا، وما يتخلله من حرب إبادة وحرب تجويع ممنهجة على قطاع غزة.

Students in International Studies program Participate in a Training Course entitled “Historiography of Land Property”

  Eight students from the master’s program in International Studies participated in the training course organized by Muwatin on the 22nd-23rd of April, about the Historiography of Land Property in Palestine. The course concentrated on the regulations that ruled and organized land property since the late Ottoman rule, and during the British mandate. It explained the transformation of the regulations that connect the authority, and the people with the land.

A lecture about Palestinian Migrants in Ramallah, by: Dr. Majid Shihade

  Dr. Shihade gave alecture about his recent research paper  which looks into the situation of Palestinian migrants in the RamaIlah area. It will examend  the question of Palestinians who migrate to the Ramallah area for work, and what issues they face here, and how would this research complicate further the question of the Palestinian migration and refugees. He spoke about the changes that have impacted the Ramallah area since the 1990s, and how these changes have impacted Palestinian migrants who came to the Rammallah area to work.

The FMRU hosted Roula El-Rifai to speake about IDRC Policies and Projects on Refugees

 
 
Roula El-Rifai a Senior Program Specialist, Middle East Unit at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) presented an overview of the IDRC focus on Palestinian Refugees and the Middle East peace process. She mentioned the importance of policy papers versus research projects. She further stated that the key research projects are concentrated on compensation, absorption of Palestinian refugees and public opinion.
