إسرائيل في طريق المواجهة الحتمية

يثير انخراط فلسطينيو الداخل في العمليات الفدائية، قلقًا إسرائيليًا كبيرًا، سيما بعد عملتي الخضيرة وبئر السبع، إضافة إلى توقيتهما الحرج عشية شهر رمضان محتمل فيه التصعيد، والتزامن مع قمة النقب، ما يعني أن جبهة جديدة بدأت تتفاعل مع الأحداث في الضفة وغزة، وهذا بحد ذاته خطر على الأمن القومي الأسرائيلي. ما قد يدفع السلطات الإسرائيلية إلى استخدام المزيد من العنف الرسمي وغير الرسمي – من خلال المستوطنين – المنظم وسن قوانين عنصرية تجعل من الحياة في المجتمع العربي غير محتملة، حيث أصبح من الواضح أن المواجهة يمكن أن قد تحدث في أي وقت، على الرغم من من الخلافات السياسية بين وجهات النظر بين الفلسطينيين أنفسهم. كما لا تدل المؤشرات من أرض الواقع على إمكانية إندلاع مواجهة جديدة مماثلة لتلك التي اندلعت الصيف الماضي، حتى اللحظة، إلا أن كل الجهود المبذولة لا تعمل إلا على تأخير المواجهة القادمة فترة من الزمن.

Furthermore, so far, indications on the ground do not point to the potential of a new confrontations comparable to the one that erupted last summer. However, such efforts simply help to postpone the next confrontation for a brief duration.
