Public Lecture on “Palestine as a Non-Member State at the UN: The Importance and Consequences”

 
 
On Tuesday December 12, 2012 the Ibrahim Abu-Lughod Institute of International Studies held a public lecture on “Palestine as a Non-Member State at the UN: The Importance and Consequences”, which included both Dr. Asem Khalil, Dean of the faculty of Law and Public Administration  and Dr. Husam Zumlot, Professor of Strategic Studies at the Ibrahim Abu-Lughod Institute of International Studies.

Workshop on: “EU: Between Common Policies and International System”

 
 
The Ibrahim Abu-lughod Institute of International Studies at Birzeit University held on the 7th of June 2014, a workshop entitled: “EU: Between Common Policies and International System.”
This event is based on a course offered this semester by IALIIS “The European Union: Unique Phenomenon or Relevant Model”. Twelve students gave presentations on their papers related to the topic of the European Union.

Enhancing the political representation of Palestinian refugees in the West Bank and Gaza Strip

The project, which started in mid January 2015 and which should end in mid September 2015, will contribute to enhancing the political representation of refugees in the camps by conducting research which uses as its foundation political representation as one of the most fundamental of human rights.

Launch of the African Studies Program

In cooperation with the Representative Office of South Africa in Ramallah, IALIIS organized a session on the 27th of April 2015, to discuss the foundations of academic cooperation between Africa and Palestine, in order to launch the African Studies Program at IALIIS.
