Canadian foreign policy towards the Middle East, especially the Arab-Israeli conflict

 

The Ibrahim Abu-Lughod Institute of International Studies and the Master Program of International Studies in cooperation with the Department of Political Science / Faculty of Law and Public Administration, organized, on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, a public lecture entitled: "Canadian foreign policy towards the Middle East, especially the Arab-Israeli conflict", presented by the Canadian representative to Palestine, Mr. David da Silva, Dr. Ibrahim Rabaia moderated the lecture.

Ibrahim Abu-Lughod Institute of International Studies hosts Canada’s Representative to the Palestinian Authority

 

As part of the Diplomacy Meeting Series, Ibrahim Abu-Lughod Institute of International Studies hosted Canada’s Representative to the Palestinian Authority Mr. Douglas Scott Proudfoot on Thursday, Nov. 16. Mr. Proudfoot delivered a lecture on Canadian- Palestinian relations attended by a number of students, faculty members and other distinguished guests. Notable Professor at Birzeit University Dr. Murad Shaheen moderated the seminar.

Russian Ambassador visits BZU, lectures students on Russian Policies

 

Birzeit University President Abdellatif Abuhijleh met on March 27, 2017 with the Ambassador of the Representative Office of the Russian Federation to Palestine Aydar Aganin. Both parties discussed where they can cooperate in academia, exchange and research.

Jordanian Representative Expounds on Palestine-Jordan Ties

 

As part of its Diplomacy Meetings, Ibrahim Abu-Lughod Institute of International Studies, in cooperation with the Political Science Department, hosted the Jordanian Representative to Palestine Mr. Khalid Al-Shawbkah on Thursday, February 23, 2017, and organized a lecture on the Jordanian foreign policy and the Jordanian – Palestinian relations.

Diplomatic communication tools in addressing the international community

 

Dr. Naser Al-Qudwa talked about the bases of diplomatic communication with the international community. He highlighted the need to uphold themoral values of the Palestinian cause and to adhere to international humanitarian law as represented in the Fourth Geneva Convention and the Hague Convention.

The new Palestinian strategy
