The Globalization, Colonialism and Liberation: Critical Political Economy Talks are a seminar series developed in direct continuity with the Master’s course of the same title taught at Birzeit University.

The series engages critically with political economy by exploring key concepts and debates on globalization, development, and dependency. It examines global capitalism through the lenses of labor, race, gender, and coloniality, and analyzes settler colonialism and the economy as a battlefield in comparative perspective.

Extending beyond the classroom, the Talks create a broader intellectual space that brings together scholars, students, and practitioners around shared analytical and political questions. Particular attention is given to the material, institutional, and spatial dimensions of domination, as well as to practices and imaginaries of resistance and liberation.
