The FMRU, IALIIS faculty members and researchers have participated in different international and local conferences where papers about refugee issues have been presented and connections with other academic and research centers that address the same issue have been done.

For these purposes, the institute hosts lecturers, who are experts and workers in the field presented in the lecture.
Roundtable meetings were organized to promote discussion on issues related to forced migration and refugees, speakers were invited from different universities and academic centers that deal with this topic and a number of interested participants have attended these meetings
The brainstorming sessions are weekly meetings held internally at the IALIIS, in which researchers and faculty members are invited to present their papers under preparation whenever deemed relevant for the research interest of the IALIIS.
Authors are invited to consider feedback from the participants while a detailed report is made available by the Institute and published on the IALIIS website. Whenever the discussion is of interest for the general public, a policy briefing is developed out of the discussion and sent for publication in local newspapers.
